Irish National Records Set at Celtic Tri-Nations Meet

SWANSEA, United Kingdom, February 24. OVER the weekend, a pair of long course meter Irish records fell at the Celtic Tri-Nations meet held in Swansea.

Melanie Nocher lowered her record in the women's 200 back with a swift time of 2:12.14. That performance dropped her 2:12.29 set at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Meanwhile, Steven McQuillan clocked a time of 55.61 in the men's 100 fly to wipe out the 55.89 set by Muiris O'Riada back in 2004.
