Chesapeake Elite Pro-Am: Roxane Akradi Wins a Pair

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, December 22. MINNESOTA's Roxane Akradi completed a daily double with a pair of victories at the Chesapeake Elite-Pro-Am's final day of swimming.

Minnesota's Roxane Akradi topped the women's 200 back with a 1:55.54, easily surpassing second-place finisher Katharine Anton of Cedar Rapids, who took second in 2:00.19. Akradi completed a double with a winning time of 25.47 in the sprint backstroke event. Marissa Campbell took second in 26.45.

In the men's 200 back, Mustang Matt Thompson also witnessed a similar margin of victory with a 1:42.82 compared to Greenville's Matt Houser (1:48.19).

Longhorn's Tanica Jamison continued a strong meet with a winning time of 48.44 in the women's 100 free. Greenville's Lauren Perdue placed second in 49.27. Meanwhile, Longhorn teammate Dale Rogers downed Trojan's Kicker Vencill, 42.70 to 43.32, in the men's 100 free.

Rachel Komisarz locked up the women's 200 fly title in 1:58.06 with Mission Viejo's Chloe Sutton showing some versatility away from the distance events with a second-place 2:03.82. Sutton's teammate Tom Shields touched out Houser, 1:47.20 to 1:47.50, for the men's 200 fly crown.

Adam Mania of Schroeder YMCA completed the individual events for the meet with a winning time of 21.88 in the men's 50 back. FAST's Camilo Becerra touched second in 22.16.

Results from the 1650 free and 200 free relays were unavailable at press time.
