Meet of the Week, Recap: Navy Sweeps Army

WEST POINT, N.Y., December 5. IN this weekend's SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Meet of the Week, Navy swept Army in West Point. The Navy women claimed a 211-84 triumph, while the men captured a 214.5-85.5 conquest.

In the men's meet, Navy's Adam Meyer cleared the B cut time in the men's 200 fly with a readout of 1:43.05. He also clocked a B-cut in the 200 IM with a 1:45.16 effort. He also helped the 200 medley relay of Andrew Hetzner, Ari Molina, Meyer and Alex Oldenkamp to a winning time of 1:30.41.

For Army, James McLauglin captured titles in the 100 breast (56.01) and 200 breast (2:03.61).

In diving, Navy's Jon Galinski (324.80) qualified for zones in the one-meter, while also clearing the three-meter zone cut with 378.50 points. Navy's Olaf Olson also beat the zone cut in the three-meter with 336.00 points.

For the women, Navy's Mallory Dietrich led the way with four event titles. First, she helped the Navy foursome of Jennie Spencer, Dietrich, Brooke Besche and Thuy Mi Dinh to a win in the 200 medley relay (1:47.40). She also touched first in the 100 breast (1:04.34), 200 breast (2:21.51) and 100 fly (56.78).

For Army, Paige Brink gave its women a win in the 200 IM (2:09.08), while Lindsey Adao won the one-meter diving event with 254.50 points.

The SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Meet of the Week program will be on hiatus until dual meet season picks back up in January.
