NAIA: Simon Fraser Sweeps Seattle

BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Nov. 11. Defending NAIA chapions Simon Fraser had little trouble dispensing with Seattle University today, the men winning 126-75, and the women taking a closer 103-87 victory in a double dual meet in Burnaby, B.C.

Despite the Clan's dominance overall in this series, the margin of victory continues to diminish each year. Both Redhawk teams finished third at the national NAIA meet last season and hope to put added pressure on the Clan as the year progresses.

Luc Lamarche won the 200-meter freestyle in 2:02.08 for the Redhawks. The only other event winner for Seattle was Elliot Kolbe, who powered his way to
victory in the 200-meter breaststroke with a time of 2:23.94.

Seattle's women did not win an event but placed a swimmer in second in every event. Combined with a third place finish in nearly every event and a
handful of fourth place finishes, the women managed to keep pace.
