Industry News: Perfect Pushup Continues Company Evolution With Launch of Enhanced Perfect Pullup

MILL VALLEY, California, October 28. REINFORCING its goal to provide consumers with lifestyle fitness solutions, Perfect Pushup, well known for the product of the same name, is extending its product line with the launch this month of the enhanced Perfect Pullup, a complete system for working over 600 muscles, now available with an ab strap that provides an additional workout for the body core. Additional innovations include rotating handles that allow consumers to do pullups and chinups together for the first time and two swing arms that can be used in three different positions where consumers of any fitness levels can improve from standing row pullups, to Australian pullups, to normal pullups. The complete system, priced at $99.95 suggested retail is available at over 20,000 retail outlets through the United States and includes one adjustable Pullup bar, two swing arms, two rotating handles, ab straps, and a 21-day workout created by founder and former Navy SEAL Alden Mills.

Easy to install into any standard door frame, the Perfect Pullup enables the body to move more naturally, minimizes joint strain, achieves better results in a faster time period and utilizes functional training. "It's the most unique product of its kind because it takes one of the toughest basic exercises, the pullup, and makes it doable for consumers of any fitness level," said Alden Mills, CEO and founder of Perfect Pushup.

"Perfect Pullup is far more than a fitness product," continued Mills. "It can be the beginning of a healthier lifestyle and getting back to the basics about feeling good. In a tough economy, consumers find comfort in being fit and staying healthy. We are focused on giving consumers friendly options for taking the first steps to making these changes or adjusting to what they are already doing. Our products are about simple natural movements that can produce solid results, leaving customers energized and feeling good about themselves."

A pullup is an upper body compound pulling exercise where the body is suspended by extended arms, then pulled up until the elbows are bent and the head is higher than the hands, utilizing an overhand (pronated) grip. Pull-ups specifically target the Latissimus Dorsi in the back and biceps in the arms, though many other muscles are involved in the movement, including shoulders and chest.

The pull-up and chin-up are both considered a callisthenic exercise that increases body strength and flexibility using the weight of one's own body for resistance. Repeated motions of calisthenics done over an extended period of time will build muscle endurance and total body fitness.

"Pull-ups are one of the best exercises consumers can do for overall strength building," said Mills. "Our products not only resonate with fitness devotees but also enable those just beginning a fitness program to easily grasp the movement and stay committed to their fitness regimens."
