Five-Star Kelsey Gaid Makes Commitment

MARIETTA, Georgia, October 28. ANOTHER Swimming World five-star recruit has made their collegiate decision. Kelsey Gaid, who swims for the Marietta Marlins and preps at Alan C. Pope High, has publicly announced her pledge via the College Recruit Rankings system.

Gaid will be staying close to home as Jack Bauerle of Georgia earned her commitment. Gaid has U.S. Olympic Trials cuts in the 200-meter free (2:02.94), 100-meter back (1:03.66), 200-meter back (2:14.98) and 200-meter IM (2:19.65). Gaid is the first commitment to the Georgia women's team to publicly commit.

"I chose UGA because I felt like it would give me the best chance to succeed and reach all of my goals," Gaid told Swimming World. "I really loved the team, coaches and school, and it felt like the perfect home for the next four years."
