Fordham vs. St. Peter’s

JERSEY CITY, New Jersey, October 25. THE Fordham swimming and diving teams swept their meet against St. Peter's College on Friday evening in Jersey City, N.J. The Fordham women defeated St. Peter's, 156-54, while the men topped the Peacocks, 148-91.

Fordham had five multiple event winners on the night, led by Caitlin Napoli. She won the 200 individual medley in 2:12.15 and the 100 freestyle in 54.58 seconds. Emily Wojdyla and Courtney Collyer also won a pair of events for the Fordham women. Wojdyla took the 1000 freestyle in 10:44.17 and the 100 backstroke in 1:03.58, while Collyer won the 100 butterfly (59.14) and 100 breaststroke (1:08.64).

For the men, Justin Coombs won the 200 and 500 freestyle events in times of 1:47.88 and 4:53.86, respectively, while Ben Otto captured both diving events with scores of 198.80 (1M) and 171.90 (3M).

In the relays, the women's 200 medley relay (Christina Cosentino, Nicole Marshall, Kelly Bunster, Tressa Dunn) won in a time of 1:50.27, while the men's 200 freestyle relay (Tim Gusick, Rami Fetyani, Pat Mulligan, and Eric Prendergast) took first place in a time of 1:30.36.

The Fordham swimming and diving teams will return to action on Wednesday, November 5th, as they have a meet at Stony Brook, beginning at 5:00 PM.
