Follow Up On Michelle Smith’s “No-Show”

Michelle Smith was in fact at the Waldorf Astoria in New York accepting an award from the Irish Chamber of Commerce on October 13, 1996; the same day FINA doping control came to her residence in Ireland. Smith personally went out of her way to make sure that she was tested on October 15. The doping control officer wanted to postpone the test, but the test was completed on her insistence.
