Kyle Clements Named Milwaukee Swimming & Diving Assistant Coach

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin, September 10. KYLE Clements has been named the assistant coach for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's and women's swimming & diving teams, head coach Erica Janssen announced today.

"Kyle is a tremendous addition to our swimming and diving program here at UWM," Janssen said. "He brings enthusiasm, experience, determination and the familiarity with a variety of programs that I was looking for when naming an assistant to the staff. His knowledge and contacts with recruiting will benefit the program immediately."

Clements comes to Milwaukee from Marshall University, where he served as the volunteer assistant coach for the women's swimming & diving team last season.

Clements earned his undergraduate degree in aquatics from Ball State in 2007, while also minoring in teaching aquatics. He spent four years as a student assistant coach for the Ball State swim team while earning his degree.

"I am very fortunate to be able to join such a promising program here at UWM," Clements said. "I look forward to working with Coach Janssen and the rest of the staff. Very few coaches my age get the opportunity to come into a program and experience instant success. It speaks volumes about the program and the great things Erica (Janssen) and (former UWM head) coach Dave Griffore were doing with this team. I look forward to getting to work and helping the teams pick up where they left off last season."

Special thanks to Wisconsin-Milwaukee for contributing this report.
