Jason Lezak Storms Rose Bowl Aquatics Invite

IRVINE, California, June 20. WHILE official results have yet to be made available, Rose Bowl Aquatics head coach Jeff Julian informed Swimming World today that Jason Lezak put together an incredible swim at the club's invitational yesterday.

Lezak clocked a strong time of 48.33, which is among the top five in the world this year with the likes of Alain Bernard (47.50), Eamon Sullivan (47.52), Fabien Gilot (48.02) and Evgeni Lagunov (48.26) the lone swimmers ahead of him.

The swim was Lezak's second best in his career, only behind his 48.17 from the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials.

Additionally, Lezak's unofficial split at the 50 was a 23.0.
