Russian Nationals: Anastasia Zueva Breaks Russian Records in 200 Back

MOSCOW, Russia, June 6. ANASTASIA Zueva jumped to sixth in the world this year, while also trumping her national record in the women's 200 back at the Russian National Championships held in Moscow.

Zueva clocked a time of 2:08.56 to clear her previous standard of 2:09.59 set in March. Only five swimmers have gone faster than her this year with Kirsty Coventry (2:06.39), Laura Manaudou (2:06.64), Alexianne Castel (2:07.94), Zhao Jin (2:08.41) and Meagen Nay (2:08.55) clocking better times.

Meanwhile, Yuliya Efimova suffered a foot injury throughout the meet after already dropping the Russian record in the women's 100 breaststroke twice. Due to the injury, Efimova has withdrawn from the rest of the meet.
