NCSA Junior National Championships: Fourth Night Comes to Close

ORLANDO, Florida, March 21. THE National Club Swimming Association (NCSA) Junior Championships completed the fourth night of swimming in Orlando.

Girls
Rachel Bootsma of Aquajets touched out Shara Stafford of Topeka Swim, 1:03.20 to 1:03.28, for the 100 back win, while Cindy Tran of Golden West placed third in 1:03.32.

Emily Kelly of Long Island Aquatics continued her domination at the meet with her third victory when she clocked a 4:17.39 to win the 400 free.

Haley Spencer of Rockwood followed in the 200 breast with a winning effort of 2:33.24, while Katie Nolan of Hershey Aquatic claimed the 100 fly in 1:01.08.

Waukesha Express' team of Rebecca Thompson, Arianna Gorenc, Jill Krattiger and Stephanie Armstrong then won the 200 free relay in 1:46.21.

Boys
Ricky Henahan of Fairport Area Swimming claimed the 100 back with a time of 57.33, while Matt Barber of Blue Tide dominated the 400 free with a time of 3:56.39.

Eric Friedland of Rockville-Montgomery touched out Stuart Ferguson by the slimmest of margins, 2:20.40 to 2:20.41, in the 200 breast before TJ Leon of City of Mobile won the 100 fly in 55.29.

Baylor's foursome of Josh Sosna, Reese Shirey, Greg Roop and Michael Vredeveld finished the night with a 1:36.32 to win the 200 free relay.
