Seton Hall v. Marist

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York, February 2. THE Marist women's swimming and diving team beat Seton Hall, 167-133, at the McCann Center Natatorium. Senior's Jamie Falco and Melissa Mangona led the way for the Red Foxes on Senior Day. Junior Sandra Bujalski also had a big day for Marist.

Falco won the 200 yard freestyle (1:57.38), the 100 yard backstroke (1:01.27), and the 200 yard backstroke (2:10.59). She was also part of the first place 200 yard medley relay along with Lyndsay Martin, Bujalski, and Madison Walker.

Walker also won the 50 yard freestyle with a time of :25.60. Martin was first in the 100 yard butterfly (1:00.73), and she took second in the 100 yard breaststroke.

Mangona won both boards for the Red Foxes for the sixth straight dual-meet. She took the 1 meter board with a 232.27, and the 3 meter with a 266.63.

Bujalski won the 100 yard freestyle (54.84), the 200 yard individual medley (2:12.28), and 200 yard butterfly (2:10.62).

Savannah Puca finished second in the 200 yard breaststroke, and Emily Hammang was second in the 1000 yard freestyle.

The Marist men's swimming and diving team lost a extremely close dual-meet to the Pirates of Seton Hall. The final was 150-148. The meet came down to the last event (400 yard freestyle relay) with the Red Foxes needing to take first and second. They got the first they needed but Seton Hall took second.

The Marist (6-4, 2-2 MAAC) divers swept both boards. Mitchell Katz took the 1 meter board with a score of 279.44. Brian Bolstad finished second (240.45) and Devon O'Nalty finished third (239.39).

O'Nalty won the 3 meter board with a 300.60. It was the second time this season he eclipsed the 300 point total in an event. Katz took second (255.83) and Bolstad finished third (232.35).

Senior Greg Jablonski won the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 1:57.65. He took second in the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke events (:59.18, 2:12.25).

Spencer Hartmann won the 200 yard butterfly (1:56.08). He took second in the 500 and 1000 yard freestyle events (4:41.07, 9:52.60).

Freshman Angelo Ciraolo won the 100 yard freestyle in :48.35, and finished second in the 50 yard freestyle (:21.76).

Luke Johnson won the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 1:59.62.

Thomas Byrnes took second in the 100 yard backstroke (:57.03), and Keith Miller finished second in the 200 yard freestyle (1:45.99).

Senior Ralph Rienzo took third in the 500 yard freestyle (4:50.35), and was part of the winning 400 yard freestyle relay team with Christopher Fay, Joshua Sklanka, and Hartmann.
