Northern Iowa v. Iowa

IOWA CITY, Iowa, February 1. THE University of Iowa women's swimming team played host to in-state rival Northern Iowa at the UI Fieldhouse Pool. The Hawkeyes won every event of the meet and ended up with a win by the final score of 132-70. The win improves Iowa's record to 5-7 (2-2 Big Ten).

Iowa was led by junior Alison Gschwend and sophomore Christine Kuczek who took home one relay and two individual victories apiece. Gschwend won the 50 (24.63) and 100 freestyle (52.79) as well as led off the winning 400 medley relay team (3:55.73). Kuczek took first place in the 200 (1:54.00) and 500 freestyle (5:07.03) and was a member of the victorious 200 freestyle relay team (1:38.76).
