Brazilian Championships Feature Several South American Records

SAO PAULO, Brazil, December 17. ACCORDING to information released by the Brazilian Swimming Federation, several South American records fell at the Brazilian Championships held in Sao Paulo, Brazil this weekend.

Fabiola Molina broke a pair of South American records with times of 28.50 in the 50 back and 1:01.75 in the 100 back. Meanwhile, Monique Ferreira took down the South American record in the 200 (2:01.10) and 400 (4:13.03) freestyles.

Other South American records went to Guilherme Guido (50 back – 25.14), Gabriella Silva (100 fly – 1:00.47) and the Pinheiros 200 free relay of Nicholas Santos, Cesar Cielo, Fernando Silver and Jader Souza with a time of 1:28.39.
