Industry News: Star-Studded Vodcast Available From Speedo

BEVERLY HILLS, California, November 28. THE stars came out on Nov. 18 for the fourth-annual Golden Goggle Awards, the star-studded gala at the Beverly Hilton honoring the accomplishments of our nation's finest swimmers.

For the latest installment of the brand's "Speedo Make Waves" podcast series, Speedo shined the spotlight on the Golden Goggles with a video podcast offering an inside look at the star-studded celebration.

In this edition of "Speedo Make Waves," Katie Tyrrell of Speedo USA catches up with some of the U.S.'s biggest swim stars and nominees from the red carpet including Michael Phelps, Natalie Coughlin, Ryan Lochte, Katie Hoff and Kate Ziegler. Carson Daly, host of this year's awards, talks to Tyrrell about the respect and admiration he has for the sport of swimming and its elite athletes.

Also featured in this Golden Goggle-themed edition of "Speedo Make Waves" are U.S. swim stars Ben Wildman-Tobriner, Jessica Hardy, Megan Jendrick, Peter Vanderkaay and Margaret Hoelzer, and swim legend Rowdy Gaines.

The athletes and celebrities weigh in on the glamorous awards ceremony, how the sport of swimming benefits from an event like the Golden Goggles, reflect on a record-setting 2007 and look ahead to 2008 and the Beijing Olympics.
