Boise State, Mesa College vs. College of Idaho

CALDWELL, Idaho, November 10. THE Boise State swimming and diving team blew its competition out of the water as the Broncos defeated the College of Idaho, 156-80, and Mesa College, 151-97, Saturday.

Out of the 14 total events at the meet, the Broncos garnered the top
spot in nine individual events and one in the 200 medley relay with a
winning time of 1:57.80 (Samantha Eichner, Rachael Meisner, Danielle
Blow and Morgan Denny).

Freshmen led the way for the Broncos, with Nathalie Rohling taking first
in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:51.66 before notching her second
individual title in the 500 free (5:26.34).

Rachael Meisner also notched a pair of victories as she garnered a first
place finish in the 200 free (1:58.33) and recorded a first place finish
in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:15.54, edging out teammate
Allison Hall (2:15.58).

Morgan Denny had a career day as she garnered a first place finish in
both the 100 (1:02.63) and 200 backstroke (2:15.44). Also adding to the
Broncos success was Tara Hahto, who has had standout performances
throughout the season. Hahto's hot streak continued as she took the
title in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:01.48 before notching
another first place finish in the 50 free with a time of 26.21.

Making a splash for the Broncos was freshman Andrea Thiltgen who
recorded a first place finish with her performance in the 200 fly, with
a time of 2:20.83.

Junior Kelly Knapp garnered the Bronco Award at the meet after notching
a lifetime best time in both the 200 and 500 free. "Kelly helped us get
out program started last year," said head coach Kristin Hill. "She has
continued to improve this year and we wanted to recognize that."

The Broncos now prepare to hit the road to Salt Lake City, Utah to take
on Utah and San Diego State, Saturday, Nov. 17.
