William Smith vs. Wells

GENEVA, New York, November 7. THE William Smith College swimming and diving team picked up its second win of the season, defeating the visiting Wells College Express 106-86. The Herons took the top two spots in the meet's first seven events.

Junior Lynn Cutter (St. Gertrude/Richmond, Va.) was a double winner for William Smith capturing the 100-yard freestyle in 57.07 seconds and the 200 free in 2:03.79.

Senior Megan Mosher (Livonia/Livonia, N.Y.) won the 50 free in 26.17 and swam a leg on the victorious 400 medley relay with first-year Lindsay Simonson (New Paltz/New Paltz, N.Y.), sophomore Laura Patterson (Annapolis/Annapolis, Md.), and Rachel Johnson (Emma Willard School/Clifton Park, N.Y.).

The Herons also got individual victories from first-year Chelsea Chambers (Potsdam/Potsdam, N.Y.) in the 1,000 free (13:38.94), sophomore Charlotte Scott (Columbia/Maplewood, N.J.) in the 200 individual medley (2:30.70), and first-year Erin Houck (State College/Pa. Furnace, Pa.) in the 100 butterfly (1:07.20).
