Masters World Records Fall at British Meet

SHEFFIELD, England, October 28. MARK Foster set a Masters short course meter world record in the 35-39 50 freestyle as the leadoff of a mixed 200 freestyle relay at British Swimming's National Masters and Senior Age Group Championships held in Sheffield, England.

Foster stopped the clock in 21.53, as his 120+ team of Simon Greenberg, Emma Wilkenson and Katie Fearne took 11th in their group with a time of 1:54.16. Foster previously held the record with a 22.22 set on Sept. 9 of this year.

Meanwhile, Andrew Manley set a global standard of his own. Manley clocked a 50.24 in the men's 30-34 100 free to eclipse the 50.37 set by Mike Fibbens on Aug. 7, 2000.
