Northeastern Swims Past Central Connecticut, 159-141

NEW BRITAIN, Connecticut, October 20. THE Northeastern Huskies won their second straight game against Central Connecticut State on Saturday by a score of 159-141.

Senior Brittany Gilles swept the diving events for Northeastern, winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter dive. Gilles swept the diving events against Boston College in the Huskies first meet of the year.

Gilles was named CAA Diver of the Week for her efforts against Boston College. Courtney Flanagan came in second in both diving events.

Sophomore Kathrine Fugge won both the 200 and 100-yard freestyle, and was also on the 200-yard freestyle relay team that came in second. Junior Elena Alvarez won the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke for the second straight meet for the Huskies. Senior Kara Lane took the 200-yard butterfly.
