India Steps Up Anti-Doping Measures; Creates National Anti Doping Agency

NEW DELHI, Indian, October 10. ACCORDING to an article in The Hindu, India became the latest country to create a National Anti Doping Agency to join the fight to clean up the international sporting community.

The article states that the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) "noted with satisfaction that the dope control laboratory … had reached its last stages of accreditation procedure." Additionally, a WADA executive explained that hopefully "the laboratory would be fully accredited by next year."

The formation of NADAs and other anti-doping agencies throughout the world continues as Barbados recently opened a Regional Anti Doping Organization to help combat cheating in sports.
