Scott Rice, Caleb Percevecz Honored by Big Ten Conference

CHICAGO, Illinois, October 9. WISCONSIN won both the men's swimmer and diver of the week awards from the Big Ten Conference this week. Scott Rice (swimmer) and Caleb Percevecz (diver) each were lauded by the conference.

Rice started off his junior year strong with three first-place finishes at the UW-Green Bay dual meet. Rice out-stroked the field in the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.18), 100-yard butterfly (50.21), and the 200-yard medley relay (1:36.09). The Washington native claims his third Big Ten Swimmer of the Week award.

Percevecz took home first-place hardware in both the one-meter and three-meter dives this past weekend. The Arizona native out-dove his opponents by nearly 15 points in each event scoring 275.85 off the one-meter and 245.63 on the three meter. The Badger freshman picks up his first weekly honor after competing in his first collegiate outing.
