Syracuse Swimming Online Petition Nearing Goal; Accepting Financial Pledges to Help Save Program

SYRACUSE, New York, September 27. THE online petition to Save Syracuse Swimming, which is available here, has now cleared the 4,000-signature plateau and is coming down the final stretch to the overall target of 5,000 signatures.

Additionally, Save Syracuse Swimming is accepting pledges to commit funds towards saving the swimming program. To find out what you can do to help, click here.

The Save Syracuse Swimming effort has been ramping up as of late after the athletics department gave those involved in the cuts lip service with meetings scheduled throughout the summer that might just have been more of a delaying tactic than anything else.

Recently, Phil Whitten of the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, called for Syracuse Athletic Director Daryl Gross to resign.
