FINA Releases Venue Information for 2008 Beijing Olympics, Schedules Test Events

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, September 20. FINA has released an update on the 2008 Beijing Olympics, including venue information and a schedule of the upcoming aquatics test events.

Aquatics venues for the 2008 Olympics include:
National Aquatics Center (Swimming, Diving, Synchro): To be completed in Oct. 2007.
Ying Tung Natatorium (Water Polo): Renovations to be finished in Aug. 2007.
Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park (Open Water): Finished May 2007

Test Events:
Swimming: China Open, Feb. 1-8, 2008 (Olympic events)
Open Water: Olympic qualifying race, May 31 & June 1
Diving: FINA Diving World Cup, Feb. 19-25, 2008
Water Polo: China Open, March 18-23 (4 men's and 4 women's teams)
Synchro: Olympic Qualifying Tournament, Apr. 16-18
