SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Announces Another Intern Addition

PHOENIX, Arizona, August 13. SWIMMINGWORLDMAGAZINE.com is proud to announce another addition to its growing internship program. We recently added Sarah Galbavy to the program and are looking forward to her contributions this year.

After the first year of the SwimmingWorldMagazine.com internship program, our initial intern, Erin Greene, earned a position as the Communications Coordinator with USA Swimming. Also, Brian Savard will be back for another tour of duty as our high school beat reporter during his final season of collegiate swimming at Susquehanna University.

Galbavy is a communications major at Adelphi University, and is the owner/operator of Ian Crocker Online, a fan site devoted to news about the man himself.

"While writing a four-part series on fan sites during which we featured Ian Crocker Online, I had the chance to get to know Sarah," managing editor Jason Marsteller said. "I was impressed with her knowledge and enthusiasm about the sport of swimming, and immediately asked her to apply for an internship position when I learned that she had an interest in our profession. I look forward to working with her this year."

Recently, we announced the addition of Emily Sampl as our Masters swimming beat writer. Sampl is currently pursuing a journalism degree at the University of Colorado and competed collegiately at the University of New Hampshire. Her previous club swimming experience came with Team Vortex and Fort Collins Area Swim Team.

We are still actively recruiting more intern candidates. Feel free to apply as directed in this job posting.
