Hannah McLean to Skip Beijing Olympics

AUCKLAND, New Zealand, July 29. NEW Zealand's Hannah McLean will not take part in next year's Olympic Games in Beijing. Although she has not opted for retirement, McLean has decided to take a break from swimming. Obviously, deciding for a rest period a year out from the Games does not lend itself to racing in Beijing. McLean won the bronze medal in the 200 backstroke at the most recent Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
