SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Assistant Newsmaster Erin Greene Hired By USA Swimming

PHOENIX, Arizona, June 26. ERIN Greene, who joined SwimmingWorldMagazine.com last summer as its first Newsmaster intern and later earned a promotion to Assistant Newsmaster of the site has been hired by USA Swimming in a full-time capacity in a newly-created position as Communications Coordinator.

"We are thrilled that Erin now has the opportunity to continue her career within the swimming community," Swimming World Magazine managing editor Jason Marsteller said. "Erin epitomized exactly what we are looking for in our Newsmaster internship when she demonstrated her strong work ethic and passion for the sport of swimming. Greene came to SwimmingWorldMagazine.com from Ohio State University. Greene recently completed degrees in professional writing and English at OSU after finishing her career as a member of the OSU swimming and diving team last year. She joined the Ohio State media relations department as the school's swimming & diving and rowing contact during her fifth year at the university. She also served as the news editor for UWeekly, the school's newspaper, and as an editorial intern for the Columbus-based magazine company, The Publishing Group, Ltd.

Swimming World Magazine – Newsmaster Internship
Sports Publications International, publishers of Swimming World Magazine and SwimmingWorldMagazine.com, are seeking qualified individuals for multiple Newsmaster Intern positions.

Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for a selected news channel; assisting with other news channel coverage; developing original premium content; and editing press releases sent to SwimmingWorldMagazine.com from various public relations entities across the world. The position requires excellent writing skills, flexible hours (including some weekend work) and a working knowledge of the sport of swimming.

This is a semester-long, or year-long, for-credit Internet-based position starting when it best suits the successful candidate's academic plan. There is no need for relocation.
