Cascade Swimming International Concludes With Local Swimmers Leading the Way

CALGARY, Alberta, June 18. THE Calgary Swimming International swim meet took place from June 7-10 at the Lindsay Park Pool in Calgary. Overall, Erica Morningstar and Chad Hankewich notched some of the top efforts at the long course meter meet.

Morningstar, who placed fourth at the FINA World Championships, won the women's 100 free in 55.87 to garner the Nike High Performance Swim of the Meet scoring 903 FINA points. Additionally, Hankewich, who will swim at the Pan American Games, topped the men's list with a 52.05 in the 100 free for 799 FINA points.

Overall, more than 420 swimmers from throughout Western Canada competed at the event.
