Hahto Appointed Chief Operating Officer of Swimming Canada

OTTAWA, Canada, June 6. MARK Hahto, the Executive Director of Swim British Columbia, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Swimming Canada. He will begin his duties September 1 and work as the go-to man for Pierre Lafontaine, the CEO and National Team Coach of Swimming Canada. Hahto will oversee the operation of Swimming Canada's strategic plan.

"Mark has demonstrated great leadership qualities while organizing the most successful Pan Pacific Championships in history as General Manager," Lafontaine said. "As Executive Director for Swim BC, Mark has shown exceptional work at the Provincial level and earlier in his career as a coach at the club level. His management skills and his great passion for swimming will help the organization streamline operations to attain its goals to service the greater Canadian swimming family."
