DENVER, Colorado, May 30. THE University of Denver has signed Rose Farruggia (Cincinnati, Ohio) to a National Letter of Intent to compete in swimming beginning in the fall 2007 season, head coach Brian Schrader announced. Farruggia is a diver from Indian Hill High School who finished sixth at the 2007 Ohio State High School championships. She is a two-time Cincinnati Enquirer Honorable Mention award winner and is a two-time Scholar Athlete winner (3.25 grade point average or higher for the quarter). All three years she competed for IHHS her team finished as the state runners-up. Farruggia is the daughter of Joseph and Mary Jo Farruggia and is coached by Paul Glassman and Lori Rapp.

"Rose will definitely contribute to our depth in diving and I think her ability to compete as an athlete in different sports shows her ability as an athlete," Schrader said. "We are excited for her potential to help us."
