Kim Brackin Named Head Coach of Zimbabwe National Team at Beijing Olympics

AUSTIN, Texas, April 27. KIM Brackin, University of Texas head coach, has been named to the helm of the Zimbabwe National Team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Brackin, who also led the Zimbabwe squad at the FINA World Championships in Melbourne, will continue to work with Kirsty Coventry and the rest of the Zimbabwe team. Coventry, at the World Championships, wound up taking home a pair of silver medals.

The Coventry connection, as well as the hope for continuity throughout training, led the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee to keeping Brackin on for the long-term.
