MELBOURNE, Australia, April 1. AFTER capping his World Championships with a world record in the 400 individual medley, Michael Phelps met with the media, along with coach Bob Bowman and National Team Coach Mark Schubert, to discuss his extraordinary week.

Phelps won seven gold medals, setting five world records along the way. Phelps posted wins in the 200 freestyle, the 100 and 200 butterfly events and the 200 and medley disciplines. He also contributed to the United States' winning 400 and 800 freestyle relays.
