World Championships: Crocker on Morning Medley Relay; Phelps on Night Squad with Lezak

MELBOURNE, Australia, March 31. THE relay names were just announced for the preliminaries of the 400 medley relay and Ian Crocker has been listed for the butterfly leg. That means Michael Phelps will swim the fly at night, with Jason Lezak on the freestyle anchor.

Phelps edged Crocker in the 100 butterfly on Saturday night to secure the relay nod. However, there was the slight curiosity that Crocker would swim the fly leg at night with Phelps handling freestyle, since his freestyle on the front of the 400 free relay was faster than Lezak.

It also appears that Brendan Hansen will be recovered from illness for the breaststroke leg.
