Denver, Wyoming Take Home Diving Titles on Day One of Air Force Diving Invitational

USAF ACADEMY, Colorado, February2. DAY one action at the Air Force Diving Invitational wrapped-up Friday at the Cadet Natatorium. The University of Denver's Aaron Feight took first place in the men's three-meter dive and Wyoming's Saara Haapanen placed first in the women's one-meter dive.

Feight won the 3M dive, which consisted of 15 competitors, with 340.40 points. Feight was followed by John Lynch (332.05) and Kevin Bretting (331.80) from Wyoming. Senior Brady Lindberg was Air Force's top diver, placing fifth with 302.45 points.

In the women's 1M dive, consisting of 28 competitors, Haapanen placed first with 272.10 points and was followed in second by teammate Brittany Wainwright with 257.45 points. Northern Arizona's Natalie Hughes took third with 254.55 points. Senior Lauren Bursey was Air Force's top diver, placing fifth with 250.45 points.

The AFA Diving Invitational wraps-up competition tomorrow. The men's one-meter diving begins at 9:30 a.m. and runs till 10:15 a.m. The women's three-meter diving runs from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The combined platform diving concludes the invite and runs from 1:45 to 3:30 p.m.
