Two French Swimmers Suspended for Doping Violations

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, January 18. A pair of French swimmers have been suspended after testing positive for banned substances. Tested during the French Cup, Arnaud Laroche provided a sample in which his testosterone to epitestosterone was greater than four. The lab confirmed results consistent with using an illegal substance and Laroche has been suspended for two years by the French Swimming Federation.

Meanwhile, Carlo Bertoncelli tested positive for Finasteride while competing at the French Open Water Cup. The French Swimming Federation levied a one year suspension against Bertoncelli.
