Jedrzejczak to Face Unintentional Death Charge Next Week

WARSAW, Poland, January 5. OLTYLIA Jedrzejczak, an Olympic gold and six-time world championship medalist, will go to trial next week due to a car accident in October 2005 that claimed the life of her younger brother, according to Reuters reports.

"Otylia Jedrzejczak is officially charged for unintentionally causing an accident and death," said Radoslaw Jarosinski, a judge from Plonsk, where the trial will take place.

Prosecutors said earlier that Jedrzejczak was driving nearly 20 miles per hour over the posted speed limit of 75 mph.

Jedrzejczak could be sentenced anywhere from six months to eight years.
