Horizon League Gives Out Weekly Awards

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, November 15. UW-Green Bay's Joey Weber and UW-Milwaukee's Lindsay Caldwell were honored as the Horizon League's Swimmers of the Week on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cleveland State's Chris Dalman and UW-Milwaukee's Emily Duesler earned Diver of the Week awards.

Weber won three individual events as UW-Green Bay won three duels at IUPUI. He claimed titles in the 100 backstroke (:51.72), 200 backstroke (1:54.29) and the 50 freestyle (:21.48). The following day in a win over Valparaiso, Weber took home titles in the 100 freestyle (:48.22) and 200 freestyle (1:45.35) while swimming a leg on the winning 200 medley relay (1:39.22).

Caldwell dominated the sprint events against Butler and UIC, winning the 50, 100 and 200 freestyles in season-best times. She also led off the 400 free relay, getting UWM started to a win in that event as well. Against Valpo, she won the 200 free and swam the 100 breast as an exhibition.

Dalman posted a 365.00 in the three-meter and a 364.95 in the one-meter, as the Vikings fell to Wright State. Dalman is undefeated for the season.

Duesler continued to dominate the diving events, picking up her fifth and sixth wins of the season by sweeping both boards against Butler and UIC. Her score of 246.55 on the one-meter was just below her season-best and her score of 273.80 on the three-meter was an NCAA Zone qualifying tally. She also won the 1-meter against Valpo, recording 223.95 points.
