Olympians Converge on Rutgers; Quick to Host Clinic

By Jason Marsteller

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 2. THIS Saturday, several Olympians will converge on Piscataway, N.J., as efforts continue in the struggle to keep Rutgers men's swimming and diving alive. The occasion will take place surrounding what may be the final Saturday dual meet in Rutgers history against Connecticut at 1 p.m. in the RU Aquatic Center located in the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center.

Prior to the meet, Richard Quick will host a clinic at the pool. For Quick's thoughts on the Rutgers cuts, and collegiate athletics cuts in general, please click the Swimming World Audio button on the right.

Additionally, Olympians Bobby Hackett and Rachel Komisarz as well as world record-holder Cullen Jones, will make an appearance at the dual meet.

To help in the fight for the men of Rutgers, please write to the members of the Rutgers Board of Governors listed below. For advice on specific points to make, please visit saverutgersswimming.org and see Phil Whitten's piece.
