Lenton Could Make Run at Seven Titles at Next Year’s World Champs

MELBOURNE, Australia, July 18. WHEN next year's World Championships begin in Melbourne next March, Libby Lenton will have a strong chance at corralling seven medals – perhaps all of the gold variety. Lenton's seven events will be spread out over eight days, allowing the Aussie sensation proper rest for her quest.

Lenton plans on racing the 50, 100 and 200 freestyles, the 100 butterfly and all three relays. Lenton embraced that slate at the Commonwealth Games, but her races were spread over six days. According to an article in The Australian, Lenton will not have more than one final on any night.

"That sounds perfect," Lenton's coach, Stephan Widmer, told the newspaper. "This year at the Commonwealth Games was the first time we got all the events we wanted to do and at this stage we would like to do that again."
