Olympian Joe Hudepohl Is A Dad

May 5. SPRINGTIME must be Baby Time for US Olympic swimmers. Last week Olympic greats Dara Torres and Summer Sanders gave birth to little girls.

Now, two-time Olympian Joe Hudepohl and his wife, Dana, are the proud parents of a baby boy.

Wolfe Marcus Hudepohl was born at 10:18 pm on Tuesday, May 2. He weighed in at 7 lbs 6 oz and, at 20.5 inches long, appears to have his dad's build.

Joe Hudepohl, who won Olympic gold in 1992 and '96, still holds two national high school records: 43.43 seconds for 100 yards freestyle in 1992, and 1:34.96 for 200 free in 1991. He also set a national high school record of 20.01 seconds for the 50 free in 1991 and equalled it the following year. That time still stands as the national independent school mark.
