YMCA of the Triangle’s Haley Bishop Headed to Kansas

APEX, North Carolina, September 25. Haley Bishop, the 10th-ranked recruit in the State of North Carolina by CollegeSwimming.com, will compete at the University of Kansas after her senior year at Panther Creek High in N.C.

Bishop, a strong YMCA competitor at YMCA of the Triangle Area in Raleigh, N.C., will bring some speed in the sprint events to Kansas.

Bishop holds a 54.98 in the 100-yard fly from the 2014 YMCA Nationals as her top time, and also has a 1:02.97 in the 100-meter fly to her credit from last year’s YMCA long course national championships.

Bishop turned in a personal best 23.64 in the 50-yard free at the 2013 YMCA short course championships, and should get significantly better during her final season at YOTA.

She also can range up in distance with a 2:03.38 in the 200-yard fly on her resume.
