Wyoming Boys 3A, 4A High School State Championships

GILLETTE, Wyoming, March 3. LANDER and Laramie earned state titles at the Wyoming Boys High School State Championships. At the 3A meet, Lander tallied 319 points for first followed by Buffalo (232) and Sublette (185). Laramie won the 4A meet with 278 points while Central took second (170) and Kelly Walsh placed third (162).

3A Results
Buffalo won two of three relays. Wilbur Holt, Caleb Cohoon, Kyle Todd, and Kevin Kramer won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:43.64.

Stephen Powers (Lyman) was a dual event winner in the 200 (1:46.98) and 500 (4:57.94) freestyles.

Sophomore Tylor Weiss (Douglas) had individual wins in the 100 butterfly (54.60) and the 100 breaststroke (1:03.43).

Kramer, Josh Cohoon, Holt, and C. Cohoon won the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.25).

Alan Mandel (Lander), Ryan Popp (Kem) and Jordan Toppenberg (Lander) were top finishers in the diving competition. They finished with scores of 379.70, 370.50 and 367.50, respectively.

Lander's Willie Ratz won the 200 IM in 2:04.61. He teamed up with Nick Robinson, Toppenberg and Alex Fowler (the 100 freestyle champ in 48.86) for a win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:24.60).

4A Results
Laramie won two of three relays. Mike Hudson, Jake Ekberg, Rudi Hanekamp, and Sven Lundell (the 50 freestyle champ in 22.52) won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:38.18.

Hanekamp was a dual event winner in the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly. He clocked times of 1:56.21 and 51.81, respectively.

Garrett Koehler (Central) won the 200 (1:44.10) and 100 (48.10) freestyles.

Koehler, Adam Hoffdahl, Daniel Garcia, and Adam Wingate teamed up for a win in the 200 freestyle relay (1:30.61).

Kelly Walsh's Malachi Bennett won the diving competition (475.70). Campbell's Devon Flower took second (415.40) and Evanston's Brock Martin placed third (411.90).

Hanekamp, Lundell, Matthew Gern, and Hudson closed the meet with a win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:17.16).
