QUEENSLAND, Australia, May 4. PAULUS Wildeboer, a top-flight coach throughout many international circles with successful stops in Denmark and Australia, passed away after battling an illness according to AS.com.

Wildeboer, who had moved to Australia last year to take over Queensland’s excellence program, is the father of sensational swimmers Olaf and Aschwin. Olaf wound up competing for The Netherlands, while Aschwin swam internationally for Spain as Wildeboer’s international ties kept on growing.

Wildeboer initially began coaching in 1979 at CN Barcelona before taking a job at CN Sabadell a year later and didn’t leave for another 24 years. Wildeboer also put in time with the Spanish Swimming Federation, before coaching in Denmark with the likes of Jeanette Ottesen, Rikke Pedersen, Lotte Friis and Mie Nielsen.
