The Washington girls high school swimming season will end this week with 2A, 3A, and 4A state championships.

2A

Naches Valley senior Ella Van Troba is top seed in the 200 free and by a large margin in the 500 free. In the 200 free she’s followed closely by Columbia River senior Kara Noftsker. Nortsker is also second seed in the 100 free. La Center’s Hailey Grotte leads the way there and in the 50 free.

Liberty senior Abby Russell, Aberdeen freshman Anna Weber, and Sehome junior Grace Kim are set for a tight 100 breast battle, all entering within two tenths of one another.

3A

Lakeside (Seattle) has the top seed in the 200 medley relay. Their freshman Amy Tang then holds the fastest time in the 200 and 100 freestyles. Lakeside also has the fastest entry in the 200 freestyle relay and has the second fastest entry in the 400 freestyle relay.

Bindi Pedersen, a junior from Marysville-Getchell, is top seed in the 200 IM. Janelle Rudolph has the fastest entry in the 50 free. The Bellevue sophomore is also top seed in the 100 back. Her junior teammate Delora Li leads the way in the 100 fly. Columbia University commit Yanran Le has the fastest time headed into the 100 breaststroke.

4A

Newport (Bellevue) has swept the top spot in all three relays.

Skyline junior Sarah DiMeco is top seed in the 200 and 500 freestyles. On her tail in both events and joining her under five minutes in the 500 free is Newport’s Yulia Groysman.

Mount Vernon senior Emma Carlton owns the fastest entry in the 50 freestyle ahead of Northcreek duo Gabrielle Dang and Jazlynn Pak. Carlton and Pak are entered first and second in the 100 fly. Dang has the fastest time in the 100 free, just .03 quicker than Mt. Rainier’s Grace Falner. Jackson senior Chloe Limargo has the fastest entry in the 100 breaststroke.
