Virginia, Northwestern Gain Swimming World Five Star Recruit Commitments

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 19. TWO more Swimming World five star recruits made their college choices recently, as announced via the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings system.

Rachel Moore, whose profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings ranks her with a five-star ranking, will be competing for Virginia next fall. Moore, who trains with Crimson Aquatics and preps at Andover High School, has several senior national cuts: 50m free 0:26.56; 100m back 1:03.31; 100m fly 1:01.32; 200m fly 2:15.52.

Van Donkersgoed, whose profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings ranks her with a five-star ranking, is on his way to Northwestern. Donkersgoed, who already is a legislative athlete representative in USA Swimming , trains with Aquajets and preps at Minnehaha Academy. He owns a pair of senior national cuts: 100m breast 1:03.94; 200m breast 2:16.57.

Three-star Morgan Pfaff has committed to Rutgers. Pfaff, who trains at York YMCA and preps at Red Lion Area Senior High, is best known for her backstroke ability. Her top time is in the 200-meter back (2:20.68).

Three-star Josh Anderson is on his way to Big Ten country as a commitment to Wisconsin. Anderson, who trains with Nitro and preps at Vista Ridge High School in Texas, is a distance event specialist with top times leaning towards the longer events: 200m IM 2:11.17; 1000y free 9:22.54; 1650y free 15:33.29; 200y fly 1:51.61.
