JR Rosania, of JR HealthPlex, says that this exercise teaches swimmers to engage their core while performing both an arm pulldown and a straight leg raise. Both upper and lower abdominal and hip flexors are engaged in this exercise. Rosania recommends swimmers perform 3 sets of 20 reps.
