AUSTIN, Texas, January 19. SIMONE Manuel was one of the heroes of the Duel in the Pool, and though she will remember it for a very long time, she wasn’t able to kick back and enjoy the success for very long.

In this interview with Swimming World, Manuel talked about returning from Scotland and getting ready almost immediately for altitude training in Colorado Springs. Though not a boastful type of person, Manuel said her teammates at First Colony Swim Team made sure she knew that she still had to work hard to achieve more success.

She also talks about her swims this weekend at the Arena Grand Prix in Austin, including her win in the 100 freestyle that put her close to her lifetime best.
