Simonas Bilis of NC State dashed to a sizzling 41.18 to finish second overall in the 100 free during the final day of the 2016 NCAA Championships. Bilis’ time moved him to fifth All-Time in the Top 100 Free Performers.

While talking to Swimming World Bilis discussed the overwhelming joy he and his teammates felt as they captured NC State’s first NCAA relay title ever. When asked how it felt to finally win that relay title Bilis struggled to find the words, expressing

I don’t even know how to put it in words. That was amazing. All the guys stepped up….we tried that all week long and finally we got it!
