IRVINE, California, August 10. MAYBE it was the wings on the shoes he wore to the blocks or the fact that it was his last race of the USA Swimming nationals, but Ryan Lochte was able to put together his best swim of the meet in the 200 individual medley.

In this video interview, he talks about winning the race over Michael Phelps and how the race sets him up for training leading to the Rio Olympics.
