AUSTIN, Texas, March 28. RYAN Murphy knows what it’s like to be a part of some amazing relay swims, and he talks about setting his first American record as a part of the California Golden Bears’ win in the 200 medley relay tonight at the NCAA Men’s Division I Swimming and Diving Championships.

Though he was also excited about winning the 100 backstroke and nearly breaking Ryan Lochte’s meet record, Murphy said his experience swimming with his “family” at Cal in the 200 medley relay and feeling the energy from the crowd of alumni and fans was a highlight.
